Biographical Info Dr. Kimberly Rutherford is a family physician practising in Vancouver BC, Canada. Dr. Rutherford’s education includes a BSc in Microbiology from Dalhousie University, an MSc in Global Health Science at the University of Oxford and a Doctorate of Medicine at McMaster University. She completed Family Medicine residency training as well as Enhanced Skills Training in HIV/AIDS at the University of British Columbia. In 2013 she joined a team of exceptional colleagues at Spectrum Health in Vancouver. Seeing the significant burden of suffering from chronic disease and metabolic illness in her practice, she expanded her clinical skills to be able to work with patients wanting to adopt low carbohydrate, high fat (LCHF) and/or intermitting fasting principles to treat diabetes, insulin resistance, fatty liver and for those interested in weight loss or chronic disease prevention. She has found integrating therapeutic nutrition in primary care inspiring and rewarding.
