Raising the Standard: Nutrition Network Presents Their Metabolic Health Certifications

Metabolic disease is the defining health challenge of our time. Type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and a growing list of related conditions share a common root in metabolic dysfunction. The science of therapeutic carbohydrate restriction (TCR) offers a powerful, evidence-based response. What the field has needed is practitioners trained rigorously enough to deliver it.

That is what Nutrition Network has been building toward

We are formally presenting our two certification pathways and the designations that sit at their summit:

Nutrition Network Coach Practitioner – Certified in Metabolic Coaching For coaches, health educators, and allied health professionals

Nutrition Network Practitioner – Certified in Metabolic Healthcare For doctors and allied healthcare practitioners like nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and other clinical practitioners

These designations are the natural endpoint of a structured, multi-level pathway that Nutrition Network has been refining since its founding. We are now presenting them to the world in a more formal and unified way.

Our Focus Has Always Been Metabolic Health

Our pathways, training names, and credentials reflect what has always been at the core of our work: the science of metabolic function and the application of TCR in clinical and coaching contexts.

The evidence for therapeutic carbohydrate restriction as a primary intervention for metabolic disease has never been stronger, and outcomes are no longer confined to case reports – they’re appearing in randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews, and clinical guidelines in multiple countries.

The practitioners who understand this science and can apply it – clinically, ethically, and with the coaching skills to sustain behaviour change in real patients and clients – are among the most valuable people in healthcare right now.

Nutrition Network exists to certify these practitioners.

The Pathways

Both pathways are designed as journeys with each level building directly on the last. Practitioners can begin with a single course and progress at their own pace, but the real value comes from committing to the full pathway – that is where depth of knowledge and clinical confidence are built.

The Metabolic Coach Pathway

For coaches and allied health professionals working directly with individuals on metabolic health and behaviour change. No clinical background required.

Level 1 – Foundations of Metabolic Coaching The starting point. Behaviour change methodology, motivational interviewing, and the foundational science of TCR, taught by an accredited coach and subject-matter experts.

Level 2 – Ketogenic: The Science and Practice of Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction The professional training. History, mechanisms, and therapeutic applications of low-carbohydrate and ketogenic nutrition.

Level 3 – LCHF in Clinical Practice The advanced training. Three modules covering the scientific evidence base, practical medical applications, and safe clinical implementation of low-carb nutrition.

Level 4 – Three Specialised Elective Trainings Practitioners choose three electives from a wide range of clinical topics including Diabetes Reversal, Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Health, Cancer: A Metabolic Disease, Metabolism and The Mind, and more. One elective must be the Coaching Business Builder, because building a sustainable practice is part of the work.

Level 5 – Live Coach Certification Program An 18-week live online program with small-group mentorship, practical coaching application, written assignments, and an oral examination. Spaces are limited and entry is by application.

Graduates earn the designation: Nutrition Network Coach Practitioner – Certified in Metabolic Coaching.

The Metabolic Healthcare Pathway

For medical healthcare professionals integrating metabolic nutrition into clinical practice. Every training in this pathway carries internationally accredited CPD/CME hours.

Level 1 – Nutritional Medicine: The Basic Sciences The clinical foundation. Mechanisms underlying the therapeutic action of TCR and the essential scientific basis for clinical application.

Level 2 – Ketogenic: The Science and Practice of Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction The professional training. Fifteen CPD/CME points. The science of TCR applied with the depth clinical practitioners require.

Level 3 – LCHF in Clinical Practice The advanced training. Thirty-two CPD/CME points across three modules covering evidence-based implementation and safe prescription of low-carb nutrition. Dietitians have a dedicated alternative route with equivalent content and profession-specific tools.

Level 4 – Three Specialised Elective Trainings Clinical specialisation across areas including Neurology, Cardiovascular Health, Obesity, Cancer: A Metabolic Disease, Exercise for Prevention and Treatment of Disease, and more. Each elective carries CPD/CME hours.

Level 5 – Live Medical Certification Program A 16-week live online program with small-group mentorship, clinical case discussions, written assessments, and an oral examination. Spaces are limited and entry is by application.

Graduates earn the designation: Nutrition Network Practitioner – Certified in Metabolic Healthcare.

What Sets These Pathways Apart

The curriculum is built on evidence. Every course is developed and taught by researchers and clinicians at the forefront of metabolic nutrition science.

The pathway is structured. Each level builds on the last. Practitioners who commit to the full journey arrive at the live certification program with real depth and understanding.

The live certification programs set the standard. Small groups. Mentorship. Written assignments. An oral examination. These programs exist to verify that a graduate is ready to practise at the level the designation demands.

The accreditation is internationally recognised. The majority of trainings are accredited by The CPD Standards Office. Healthcare practitioners earn verifiable CPD/CME hours from levels 1 to 4.

The community is part of the value. Graduates join a global network of practitioners working at the leading edge of metabolic care. The Practitioner directory, peer community, and ongoing professional development are central to what it means to hold these credentials.

Already Studying With Us?

Every level you have completed counts. If you are currently enrolled, you are already on the pathway. The full Levels 1 to 4 bundle is the most cost-effective route to qualifying for the live certification program.

These designations are for practitioners who are serious about metabolic health and serious about the standard of care they deliver.
