Welcome to today’s edition of The Ask Prof Noakes Podcast. Brad Brown has an interesting question today from Diane. She has been banting for about 4 years but hadn’t lost any weight on the diet. Her blood sugars and cholesterol levels however, did normalise. Was dairy preventing her weight loss? A month ago she put herself on a challenge to drop all dairy products and sweeteners and lost 4kg in the first 2 weeks and another 2.5 in the following 2 weeks. Diane never dreamt she could live without those foods. Her arthritic thumbs are no longer painful and no longer suffers with fibromyalgia. Her energy levels have also increased. Due to no longer having dairy, does Diane need to supplement with calcium and vitamin D?
