The Nutrition Network (NN) Virtual Journal Club, exclusive to NN members, launched in June 2020, and has had an outstanding response, with continuous growth in viewers and expert presenters over the last year!
These virtual sessions provide a unique opportunity for our global network to share and engage with the latest science and research in low-carbohydrate/ketogenic nutrition via our Nutrition Network Community Platform. Expert presenters from within our very own network, along with Professor Tim Noakes and the medical advisory committee, engage in enriched discussions on a variety of topics, followed by a question and answer session, ensuring all viewers fully comprehend the subject matter being discussed.
With Journal Club being streamed via our Nutrition Network Community Platform, we are able to help members implement their learnings from our accredited trainings in a way that keeps them regularly updated with new content, useful implementation tools and resources, monthly research roundups, and an in-depth analysis of the science on a range of topics. Most importantly, these interactions are the portal through which patients, practitioners, and coaches can connect.
Discussion topics are carefully selected based on the value it provides to our practitioners, to best support their training and encourages ongoing learning These exclusive discussions have seen our highly skilled practitioners across varying disciplines -, present on a variety of topics such as Autoimmune Diabetes of Adulthood, The ketogenic diet for the management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): cholesterol and atherosclerosis, to name but a few “Presenting very interesting topics by highly knowledgeable speakers.
